Opening Day features famous Chicago-area entertainment

SOUTH HOLLAND, IL - Opening Ceremonies for the 2016 Central Region Junior League Softball Regional Tournament will be held at 6pm on Friday, July 22nd at Veterans Park in South Holland, IL.

The opening ceremonies will feature a color guard and musical performance by the world famous Chicago-based pipe and drum band the Shannon Rovers, as well as a welcome by the Village President of South Holland, Don DeGraff along with presentations by local and state dignitaries.

The ceremonies will be followed by an outdoor banquet catered by the South Holland Park District and Village of South Holland.  Performing at the banquet will be the nationally-known Jesse White Tumbling Team along with up-and-coming Chicago-based band, No Currency.

Players, coaches and tournament volunteers will gain free admittance to the banquet, others and the general public are welcomed to purchase tickets for $15 each.

Please come out and support the tournament, girls' athletics, Little League, the Village of South Holland and these great Chicago-area acts!
